I’m so excited to highlight another recent beautiful branding project that was done for Spur of the Moment Weddings! Working with Katie and Seth was so fun and natural, basically like we were collaborating with friends or family that I’ve known forever.
I sat down with Katie to talk about her branding experience and to get her thoughts on the process:
Emma: Tell us a little bit about your business and the services you offer!
Katie & Seth: We provide an elevated family friendly wedding & event experience through flavorful fun! We offer flavored sodas, waters, & lemonades and can whip up any creation you dream up.
Emma: How did you know you wanted to work with Mangum Design Co. for branding your business?
Katie & Seth: Easy – Emma! No seriously, as soon as we spoke with Emma we knew this was going to be a magical partnership! Emma let us know that it had to be 50/50 - we needed to give thoughtful, specific feedback in order to create exactly what we were looking for. Emma’s work displayed on Instagram, her blog & her website was also incredible and we loved every minute of looking it over. Honestly there was so much to love!
Emma: What experience did you want your to brand to evoke for clients working with you?
Katie & Seth: We want them to feel at home! When you book with us you book more than a drink vendor – you book family. We are family-owned and operated and want to sprinkle some southern hospitality all over Arizona and beyond!
Emma: What did you learn about your brand that you didn't know before branding with us?
Katie & Seth: Our ideal clientele – Seth and I knew exactly what we wanted to do and where we wanted to do it but we didn’t know who our ideal client was. After working with Emma, we knew not only who that was but have a game plan on how to market to, solicit, & attract them!
Emma: Was there anything that surprised you throughout the branding process?
Katie & Seth: How good of friends (well, more like family) we would become. She is amazing, and we love Emma!
Emma: What elements of your branding are your favorite, and why?
Katie & Seth: I love our “skull texture”, it was definitely my favorite thing that spoke to my soul! I hope that it’ll make more appearances in our future branding products.
Emma: If someone were to ask you how your experience was working with us for branding your business, what would you say?
Katie & Seth: Working with Emma was an easy, involved, fun, guiding, and creative process! Every bit of effort you put in is returned so much more in the final designs.
Emma: What tip(s) do you have for other small businesses that are considering branding or getting a brand refresh for their business?
Katie & Seth: Invest in your business! Hire someone who matches your vibe and take your time on your strategy homework! You can’t expect your brand designer to read your mind so you’ve got to put in the effort to see the best, quickest results.
Spur of the Moment Weddings is now moving to Tennessee, but since the new brand is strategically designed around their ideal client, the values and experiences matter more than the geographic details. I have no doubt that their business will continue to thrive in their new home, and I can’t wait to follow the adventures of this entrepreneurial couple and Spur of the Moment Weddings!
