Signature Couple Guest Book | Lucas + Blair

Today’s Signature Couple Guest Book spotlight belongs to the winners of the 2021 Win Montana Wedding Contest – Lucas and Blair!

This was my second year participating as a vendor in the contest and we provided a Signature Couple Guest Book.

The contest is put on by the local venue Mountainside Weddings in Whitefish, Montana and was created for members of our country’s military branches to win an entire wedding for free as a thank you for their service. This year there were over 400 submissions (what?!), and the contest vendors got to vote for the winner from the top 10. It was so hard to choose, with so many dedicated and deserving couples around the country that have sacrificed so much for our country.

Lucas made such a cute video submission where he told us how he didn’t think he was anything special, but his fiancé Blair is, and he wanted to give her the wedding of her dreams. Isn’t that so sweet? It was so obvious in the video how much Lucas loves Blair and wanted to make her dreams come true for their big day. I was honored to be able to help contribute to making those dreams a reality!

First, the couple went to Whitefish to tour the venue and take their engagement pictures, pick out a wedding dress, food tastings, exploring the area, even a white-water rafting adventure.

They sent me a picture from the session to use for the guest book. They have a special place in their hearts for their dogs Zaruh (the grey dog) and Tally (the black dog) and requested that I add their dogs to their family portrait! Since the pups couldn’t come to the wedding, Lucas and Blair made sure they were integrated into the invitations and the wedding party with some cardboard cutouts.

I also adored the details in the couple’s shoes and Blair’s dress; the little details are my favorites to create since they add so much character to an illustration! The font combo we chose was also fun.

Lucas and Blair’s wedding was August 21, 2021 in Whitefish, Montana. I was honored to help make their big day so special for them, but I’m also grateful for the chance to use this business to help thank a wonderful serviceman for his service to our country. Thank you, Lucas, for your service and dedication, and congratulations on your new adventures with Blair as husband and wife!
