Does Your Business Have Branding?

Answer these 10 questions to see if you are missing any key branding elements in your business!

A new year means new resolve to take your business to new heights!

This is a great time to start fresh with your business by making sure you're set up to best reach all the people you can serve this year. One way to do that is to check in on your business to see if your business has branding. Take a look at these three categories to check if your business has all of the branding elements it needs to start the year off right:

Foundation Items

Business Name

Do you have a specific name attached to your business? Having a consistent name attached to your business across all social media platforms, your website, and your products is one important way to start making your brand clearly recognizable.

Product or Service

What specifically are you offering to the world? If you have services or products you don't love, consider removing them from your offerings. Having more products doesn't mean you'll have more clients! A specialized portfolio can make you a leader in the industry, which builds trust in potential clients and gets you more orders.

Mission

Why do you do what you do? When you have a purpose behind your business besides making money, it helps you connect with clients that have the same values and desires. More than that, it gives you a reason to push through the hard days and keep showing up!

Visual Items

Logo

Do you have a specific graphic attached to your business identity? While a logo isn't the only important element of your brand, it is a graphic that makes your business recognizable and identifiable. Think of your logo as your signature on every single item that goes out the door to the world.

Color Palette

Do you use the same colors consistently? Colors are one of the sometimes overlooked details that helps create an experience for your clients. Combine a cohesive color palette with a logo that has the same vibes, and you've started to build a visual brand identity that will be recognizable for your business!

Fonts

Is there a group of fonts you use across the board? This goes right along with your colors and logo. Having a set of fonts you use in every single part of your business, from your website to packaging and more, gives you a cohesive brand that clients will recognize every single time they interact with your business.

Marketing Items

Special Sauce

What makes your business different from the competition? Knowing what makes you unique from your competitors helps you advertise to people that are looking specifically for what you have to offer! Take those unique things and highlight them in your marketing efforts as much as possible.

Ideal Client Specified

Who do you want this product/service to be serving and do you target your marketing to reach them? If you don't speak to someone specifically in your marketing, you aren’t really speaking to anyone. People purchase based on an emotional connection, so when you know how to serve your target customers with your services, they’ll see your value!

Website/Shop

Is there somewhere interested people can get in contact with you? How do people get ahold of your offerings? If you have a shop or website to send people or a very clear way to contact you, it makes it easier for people to invest in you.

Marketing Channels

Social media, email, ads – how do people hear about you? Word of mouth can get you clients, but if you want to reach people quickly outside of your circle of friends and family, there needs to be evidence of your existence out in the world. Some of the ways to make your business known in the world are social media accounts, email lists, and advertisements.
