Fox & Fig Photography Brand Reveal

Today’s post features the brand design for Fox & Fig Photography!

Sarah’s goal is to capture love and the pure, raw emotions of her couples.

It was so fun collaborating with Sarah while she’s in Tennessee and I’m in Montana. She is the “wedding photographer for the joyful, adventurous, heartfelt lovers” and loves to give luxurious, fun, and personalized care to each client! Sarah wanted her brand to reflect the unique experience she offers with a brand that is elegant and attractive to a higher-end clientele.

Fox & Fig’s brand inspiration comes from nature – the sunshine, wildflowers, mountains – all of these rich, earthy tones give the brand a grounded feel that’s also filled with natural light and warmth!

The fox ties to the business’s name but also symbolizes playfulness, beauty, good fortune, and independence. I love the perfect combination of mixing the playfulness with the trust-inspiring colors and fun but legible fonts!

Sarah was amazing to work with, and she left a review about her experience:

“I don’t even know where to begin or end - Emma was absolutely amazing!
From our first chat before the official booking, through the questionnaire process, into the heart of the design process, and all the way through the end as we finalized minor tweaks and got everything to me - she was SO easy to work with.

She heard my voice, and I never once made an easy decision (thankfully, her process for decisions is very guided and helps get you in the right mindset!).
Everything she put in front of me was quality, and something I’d be proud to represent my brand!

My final branding materials are the first time my brand has felt full-fledged - it has everything I need to make the mark I want to as I showcase my work as a photographer.

Anyone wanting to rebrand and really find something you can love for a long time, needs this designer in their life. She made the process feel easy, fun, and most importantly, as a small business owner, I felt valued!”

I want to help you feel the same way about your own brand! You deserve to have a brand that reflects the memorable experience you offer your clients in your business. Are you ready? Lastly, I want to share what Sarah had to say about her experience working with Mangum Design Co.:

1. Tell us a bit about your business and the services you offer.

I am a wedding and elopement photographer, based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Approximately 50% of my business is here in Nashville, and 50% is travel work. I also offer engagement and couples sessions, maternity sessions, and fresh 48 sessions. I offer a luxury wedding experience for my clients, complete with full service experience, wedding albums, and for my elopement couples, full service in the planning process as well.

2. How did you know you wanted to work with us for branding your business?

I had seen former clients of yours and their branding, and I loved how each was entirely unique to their own brand, yet the overall consistency and colorful palettes drew me in! I wanted something that was "me" and was going to stand out, rather than the typical soft blushes and plain colors I see often in wedding photography websites.

3. Did you learn anything about your brand that you didn't know or realize before branding?

I didn't realize how many things draw a potential client's eye that we take for granted. Making things easy to read, easy to find, and setting them up to experience my brand in the way I have created it, was such a learning experience and a fun one at that.

4. Was there anything that surprised you throughout the branding process?

I realized how poorly branded I was before, does that count? No really, I think the main thing I learned is that consistency and coordination amongst ALL forms is imperative in creating a brand immersive experience from the get go for your clients. It's not just a nice logo that makes a brand!

5. What elements of your branding are your favorite and why?

The color palette and main logo are obviously two huge keys, but my favorite part was implementing tiny pieces throughout. The simple fox, the alternate logo, and the patterns used are all little puzzle pieces that make the entire picture come together.

6. If someone were to ask you how your experience was working with us for branding your business, what would you say?

It was easy, organized, and full of decision making. It really got me into the mindset of thinking like my clients would, when looking at the pieces and how they portrayed different feelings and emotions, and how those stacked up against my imagery.

7. What tip(s) do you have for other small businesses that are considering branding or getting a brand refresh for their business?

Don't wait. It is the store front, the window, the first and sometimes only part of your business that your clients see. They need to be impressed, feel confident they know your style and vibe, and feel ready to be in the next steps when they hit the "contact" button! You only get a few seconds of their time to grab their attention and keep it - make it count.
